WHAT IS H.I.P.?

Ever wondered how the music of Bach or Handel sounded when it was first played? Or how did musicians in the Baroque period approach their music? Historically Informed Performance (H.I.P.) seeks to answer these questions by investigating and adhering to the styles, aesthetic principles, and performing technique of the era in which the music was originally conceived. Together with using instruments appropriate to the period, H.I.P. aims to re-create the musical experience of the original audience.

有沒有想過到底巴赫或韓德爾的作品在他們的構想裏有著怎樣的聲音？以前的音樂家如何處理當時的音樂？「鑑古演奏」— Historically Informed Performance（H.I.P.）—正正嘗試解答這些問題。透過重新發掘和認識巴洛克時期的音樂風格、審美準則、演奏 / 唱技巧，以及採用仿古樂器，H.I.P. 期望盡量還原巴洛克音樂的本貌，將三百年前的音樂體驗重現給今天的聽眾。
